@habitant71 Montreal winning in 1986 was the biggest fluke of all, they only won because the best team in the NHL at that time Edmonton screwed up vs Calgary. Even Nilan himself said that they were lucky on that one (while blasting his coach Jean Perron). As for the present, Montreal won't even make the playoffs this year.
@habitant71 no idea what you're talking about. Definitely not a Boston fan but I can see; Nilan was always a punching bag. He went to the Terry O'Reilly school of fighting -- get hammered by the same guy 5 or 6 times, then eek out a draw against the same guy and hope people will believe you're as tough
@justice008a Dreamer!!! Typical of a Boston fan. Nilan was smaller, but tougher, and could play some hockey, scored 60 goals and 120 points more during his career, and won a Stanley Cup. Flukes can happen once every 40 years. It's good that you can enjoy this year, because the next 40 years may leave you never seeing another Stanley Cup again. Time to enjoy Montreal kicking Bostons ass for another year!
@hoserfella wow with such a command of the english language you must be a college professor and opthemologist with all that knowledge all you can do is make 3rd grade schoolyard comments?Gee thats sad.
@lakeerie90s Montreal won in 86 because they had a good lineup, and specially with Pat Roy in the goals.

@habitant71 Really Montreal is a wreck. Boston is a power you must have looked at the standings from 88. Silly biased comment.
