  • No, liberals in Congress wanting to force businesses to enact their social engineering agenda is what brought about the current fiasco.

Businesses don't go under when they're allowed to practice capitalism. It's when they are forced to practice socialism that they fail.

  • the banking fiasco happend because of legislation passed in 1996 by the Dem and slick willie lowering the requirements to hand out mortgages to those who couldn't afford to pay them.

  • Reagan economics does not work and has proven to be true. Giving Tax cuts to the rich and corporations is not Creating JOBS. Oh Corporate Socialism is just fine for Reagan fans and RepubliCAN'TS.

  • @iskunk7734 You need to go back a little further in history. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) was enacted in 1974 by President Ford. As it was written, the act basically forced banks to issue mortgages to nearly everyone or fear government scrutiny over discrimination. Slick WIlly's administration didn't help matters out at all, but they didn't start the fire. (and no, I'm not a slick willy fan)

  • You people who love Reagan so much, well, here are his tax rates: "The share of the income tax burden borne by the top 10 percent of taxpayers increased from 48.0 percent in 1981 to 57.2 percent in 1988. Meanwhile, the share of income taxes paid by the bottom 50 percent of taxpayers dropped from 7.5 percent in 1981 to 5.7 percent in 1988."

  • @iskunk7734 not even close i believe you mean the Graham leech biliy act, also bush singed the hope for homeowners act which was the final nail in the coffin. also does no body remember when Reagan bailed out the savings and loans?deregulation was the biggest culprit not socialism. banks didnt have to give a loan on a 300k house to a burger king worker, they chose to, so they could sell the bs loans as A+ paper,to state pension funds Ireland Iceland Switzerland.he wanted amnesty for illegals.

  • @poindexterwitkowsky your a libral idiot and i dont feel like proving thoughs statements wrong with real facts... hey if you dont liek go some where else thats all OH!!! look theres russia who has free healthcare tuition for students and no class system! a communists DREAM! wowwee i get to work and starve on a collective farm in russia cuz i didnt do so well on my tests thats so great... drop dead you commi idiot

  • Reagan did away with free TUITION in state universities, raided the social security fund, killed FAIR&BALANCED NEWS by ending the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE,allowed corporations to monopolize by not enforcing the SHERMAN ANTI-TRUST ACT, espoused DEREGULATION,stopped PENALIZING employers that hired the undocumented in order to break the backs of unions&the MIDDLE CLASS.Touted the MAGIC HAND OF THE FREE MARKET(code words4BILLIONAIRES),YES HAPPY BIRTHDAY RONNIE YOU REPUBLICAN CLOWN GOD

  • SO the guy who tripled the national debt & bailed out companies, is who you're drawing motivation from?

  • The guy who created the largest deficit in history is lecturing us on fiscal responsibility?

Barack Obama sure has square balls. After Obama and his cohorts piled on the deficit, banned off shore drilling, created uncertainty across the economy, partied up a storm and signed into law the largest unfunded entitlement in our history Obama is lecturing us about responsibility!

  • this is a cut from socialized medacine isnt it?

  • ronald reagan=drug war
