this looks like pure crap tbh, but that's my personal opinion. I prefer a game with animations, things you can actually control not a slideshow. I would rather read a book than play this shit. (sry but that's just my first and personal impression)

Well, of course everyone has personal taste, but since this is visual novel (read "novel" part), this is like a book but with seiyuu (voice actor), I like playing this for hear the seiyuu talking actually and because I can get multiple endings, things that you can't get from read ordinary book / novel.

Well, yeah this genre of game called "Visual Novel". or "Text based adventure", well some of visual novel has strategy gameplay like "Palais de Reine", or there are visual novel with RPG part like "Real Rode". Well if it's visual novel you can expect to read more than play, not like ordinary game, but it depends, like I said before, there are visual novel with many things that you can do from gameplay, RPG, strategy/tactics , stat increasing, minigames, some title has variety of gameplay.
