Lovely intimate coversation between Orestes and Hypatia the night before things take a horrible turn (well, even more horrible than they already are). I like how the movie doesn't show her as perfect. She is so focused on her studies she is not even aware how much Orestes still loves her. And that comment about the dog (even if it is a really adorable one) with Orestes sitting there and pining for her? Ouch.
Both Isaac and Weisz are excellent here and I can't get over how much soul Oscar Isaac gives his character. The look in his eyes when he realises, again, that her only love is her studies is heartbreaking.
