These commercials aired on ABC on September 16th, 1989. Thanks to Michael C. for sending these!

1. "After These Messages" Commercial Bumper
2. Dress 'N Dazzle
3. Joking Around With The Little Clowns
4. Frosted Flakes (With Free Frisbee Flyer)
5. Baby Bubbles
6. Promo for "Slimer & The Real Ghostbusters" (I absolutely love the early years of the show but the last few seasons show a severe decline in quality and the Slimer cartoons are basically unwatchable)
7. "Gummi Bears/Winnie The Pooh Hour" Commercial Bumper
8. "After These Messages" Commercial Bumper
9. Cheerleader Maxie
10. Hi-C Ecto Cooler (So awesome! I drank this stuff a lot as a kid)
11. Bouncin' Babies
12. Cap'n Crunch
13. O.G. Readmore PSA
14. Promo for "Slimer & The Real Ghostbusters"
15. "Gummi Bears/Winnie The Pooh Hour" End Credits
16. ABC Station ID
17. Chiclets (I'm amazed that Chiclets ever had advertising)

  • Ecto Cooler was delicious! Great commercial vault as usual.

  • @tanquantwal Just to clarify..."Commercial Vault" is just the name of my channel. Each video I post is called a volume.

  • Commercials were better back then!

  • Marvelous, as usual! I concur with the sentiments regarding The Real Ghostbusters, the Slimer cartoons were just poor. However, I do wish Hi C would bring back Ecto Cooler, that was tasty.

  • Oh, I'd wish the Saturday Morning Cartoons are to be revive and be back and entered in the 21st Century, get help from the Art Instruction Schools, Minneapolis, MN.

  • I remember the brief moment went Chiclets were cool. I chewed them a lot

I'm not sure why a kid would want a baby doll that slobbered (Baby Bubbles)

Were those Maxie dolls very popular?

I had a lot of those dress-up sets. Lots of good memories

  • these were the good old days!

  • Ecto Cooler was my favorite!

  • I never understood WHO they were marketing Slimer to. All the boys I knew HATED him, so they can't have been marketing him to the 4-8 male market. I'd guess he was an attempt to add something "cute" to the show to bring in girls, but I never found him cute or endearing. Hated him as much as the boys, actually, and most of the other girls I knew wrinkled their noses at the show entirely because it was "for boys, ew.". So who was he for? Babies?

Ecto cooler was and still is the bomb, though.

  • "Maxie" was a Hasbro brand meant to be a replacement for their "Jem and the Holograms" brand, if I'm right. :)

  • @McSurly Don't even get me started on the legend that is Ecto-Cooler. Pissed me off when I learned they didn't make it anymore. It used to be my favorite non-carbonated drink. The closest you can get is the Orange Lavaburst flavor. And it is VERY close, but it's missing the tangerine flavor (and whatever else, if anything) that makes it Ecto-Cooler.

  • CHICLETS commercial - is that TONE LOC's (Wild Thing and Funky Cold Medina) voice? He was pretty much a 1 or 2 hit wonder back in '89.
