This is Miss Vegas RTR hydroplane converted to brushless electric power. In this video it does 40 mph, powered by Neu 1515 1.5Y, Castle Creations Hydra 120, A123 Systems 7S2P LiFePO4 battery pack and Octura M440 prop. Power draw at top speed is 1300 Watts. Run time is 3.5 minuted full throttle, but i get 6 - 10 minutes per charge. This is old video, and I have since got it up to 50 mph with Grimracer 42x66 prop, 1600 Watts at top speed. Speed and power logged on Eagle Flight V3 with GPS expander, waterproofed (conformal coating).

  • How you do that conversion to brushless? Its a kit that i can buy?

  • @giankieluna no kit that I am aware of

  • Nice set up! I'm in the process of switching mine over to FE too. Are you still using the same set up that's listed?

  • Current setup. Grimracer 42x66 prop set shallow, 5S1P lipo 6000mah, Neu 1515 1.5Y 1500Kv, 3/16 flex shaft with 3/16 stub, speedmaster 21 strut, teflon liner in stuffing tube, Octura 5mm to .187 flex hex coupler, Futaba 2.4Ghz fasst, traxaas waterproof servo (blue one), Grimracer turn fin. Speed about 45 mph at only 1300 watts.

  • Who the hell gave you 3 stars man? You should have gotten 5! My votes will bring your score up! Good job man !

  • Hey man, thanks. I just got two Polyrc 5s1p 6Ah 25C lipos. They are about 300 grams lighter and the boat now handles like a dream! The run time now is 6.5 minutes combined average! I can run big props now, and the motor stays cool, not even warm! I am doing about 45mph with about 1300 watts. These motors seem to like more torque and less rpm. Timing on Hydra is low.

  • and there's another from me! good job on your rocket! I'm either converting mine to electric or jamming a .32 nitro in it lol.
