@JR3059 Thanks. As a long-term Vanagon owner, this wasn't exactly unexpected. But, it means there probably won't be any real meaningful updates vis a vis the Vanagon for a long time.

Sigh.....Some days your the bug, some days your the windshield. I think I can sympathies with you. Glad that you have plans for the van. Good luck.

not sure, could be just the oil pump or low on oil, or just a faulty oil pressure switch. Didn't you just replace the oil pressure switch?

@xennelul Yeah, the oil pressure switch is new. I also plumbed in an electric analog oil gauge. The pressure problems are real. I suppose it COULD be the oil pump, though I think the bottom end is just worn out. Either way, I'm tired of dealing with this engine. I'm taking the Dick Van Patten approach: eight (years with this engine) is enough.

I love your videos and look forward to watching them. Keep up the great work!

@OhYeahAboutThat Thanks. In the near future, I'll be concentrating mostly on the Mercedes 220D. Once I have the money saved up, though, it's game on vis-a-vis the Vanagon engine swap. And yes, there will be PLENTY of video on that.

That really sucks after all the work you put into it. I don't have the patience for stuff like that id wipe my hands of it. But thats me haha. I hope everything works out for you! Im waiting for funds to put into a van project of my own. Little different then yours tho haha

@lolMyke It is what it is. Frankly, when I bought the van in 2003, I thought the engine was on its way out. I made it last another 8 years. I'd tear it apart and do the engine swap tomorrow if money weren't the issue. Thankfully, I have plenty of other broken stuff to wrench on.
