Review of the Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 set. Though it has a lot of potential, and the mouse has some really nice features that make it stand out from the crowd, overall the keyboard is severely lacking in tactile feedback and in key spacing. Those with large hands (like me!) will find it difficult to use. I'll be very interesting in seeing future revisions of this keyboard and mouse set as I think they have a lot of potential -- just not ready for prime time yet.

  • That's a hell of a review you jackass its was essentially a commercial for the Logitech keyboard. I wrote this on the Microsoft key board that you "reviewed" and its actually a good keyboard i can type while lying down across my room and have no problems all that stuff you didn't talk about works wonderfully you stupid fuck

  • Very happy with my new logitech wave - the comfort felt nice but the function keys are easier for me to see at a glance on the logitech. Eyes not so good anymore so that is important to me.

  • Thanks been really torn between buying the logitech wave or microsoft comfort. Have been able to play with the Comfort in walk-in stores but the Wave seems to be only available online in UK stores so that made decision harder. But your review has really made my decision to take a chance on the untried Wave.

  • i will buy the keyboard 5000 from microsoft because i like the design and the mouse is very cool because it has a good design and the blue track technology is also better than laser tech.

  • Thanks for the review, cause i was going to switch from wave desktop to 5000. now, won't do. Probably will just switch to microsoft rechargeable mouse.

  • It still is the best one at the price point. Microsoft is yet to launch the successor of the 7000 and 8000 entertainment series.

  • @1jtaztube I got it from Staples about 3 years ago. It looks better in the picture than it is. However, I will say it has held up pretty good! It's hard finding L-shaped desks anymore for some reason.

hey Nice review. Where did you get your computer station/ center? I'm loving the immulated ganiite top. Very cool.

  • @lukestarspeeder Glad you like it. It's a great keyboard -- and pretty durable!
