Responding to two viewers, David Ellis Dickerson writes cards for transgender folks, including both female-to-male and male-to-female subjects. Includes sound chips and "mechanics" (as we say in the biz).
And hey--did you hear Dave on This American Life in the episode "Bait and Switch"? Because you should.
Card number 4-- brilliant!

That's true. There's a necessary honesty of goodwill in these, rather than just the expectation fulfilment of a required card-giving (birthday, christmas, whatever).

I find this extremely thoughtful and considerate. Thank you for making these videos. I'd send you a thank you card, but I'd need to ask you to make it up for me, and that would be a little silly.

I think the fact that he is making quite specific/tailored cards for people in these sort of situations helps, whereas a generic card company tends to produce copy after copy of the same basic card for birthdays and weddings. No hallmark cards have ever been made for transgender reassignment anniversaries, for example.

I really think I might buy your book. I never realised the legitimacy of greetings cards before watching these videos, to be honest. Isn't that odd? But now I do.

Great job! thanks again. Being someone in the TG community for 15 years (And published in "Trans Forming Families: Real Stories About Transgendered Loved Ones" which is a great book for family and friends of TG folks) I wanted to let you know these are great cards.

I enjoy your videos so much and I especially like to hear you describe your creative process and how you come up with your ideas.

Another good one Dave! You could buy one of those ones where you record your own voice and do your own wolf whistle or something like "lookin' good sister". Just a though. Peace.
