William Shatner Responds to Star Trek Director JJ Abrams

Its not hard to bering him back to life, he could play the father of Kirt. Since the movie is base on before TV series anyway. He was alive at that time.

either way. 'Star Trek' was one of the best Star Trek anything that's been made in the franchise's 40 year history. what i found important though is that JJ did not focus on nostalgia or just the fans, but focused on the dynamics of the new cast and this new vision which is what, i think, made the new movie so amazing as it was.

I think it would have been very fitting if Shatner had done the narrating at the end of the movie.

it actually made the Film better that Shatner wasn't in it. It was poignant that Spock Prime knew Kirk's fate in the 24th Century. If the Needs of the Many outweigh the Needs of the few, then it is Logical that Kirk Prime come back and mind the Shop. What advice about Future events he could give Starfleet.....

Well, he aged better then Peter Falk. At least that's for sure :D

I have this Idea where in next Star Trek JJ.Abrams could write script , where young Kirk dreams about Future and invision him self and thats where i bellive you Mr Shatner
could have a role to play in.

The movie was fantastic. It was superbly thought out fun, brilliantly cast and, as much as I love The Shat, I totally respect JJ Abrams decision to leave the cameo out for this film. It would not have worked. Save Shatner for the next one. I'd rather see Old Kirk in a part where he really shines than just stuck in a scene for the hell of it.
