The song worked because beck sang like he didn't care, the lyrics make no sense and were created by looking at things in his kitchen and making fun of how bad he is at rapping (which fits into the whole loser thing). This faggot from glee sounded like he was pissed and was singing through gritted teeth, there was too much emotion put into it thus failing the objective of sounding like a loser. In short glee ruins songs and is for faggots.
