Take A Ride Across The Mackinac Bridge To The Music Of Mannheim Steamroller A Pure-Michigan Engineering Masterpiece.

Visit The Mannheim Steamroller Website At: http://mannheimsteamroller.com to check out all of their great works.

Grand Rapids Is Home (Home Of The Grand Rapids Lip Dub Video) But My Favorite Michigan Landmark Is The Mackinac Bridge And With My Favorite Music Dubbed In This video is a full shore-to-shore crossing of the Mackinac Bridge taken with my Kodak Zx3 Playsport that I mounted on a mini tripod sitting up on the dash. Watch it in full-screen at 720p, kick up the audio and enjoy the great sights and sounds of this beautiful October morning as you navigate this 53 year old engineering marvel that spans the 5+ miles of the "Straits of Mackinac which separate Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas.

On your Left is Lake Michigan With Lake Huron OIn The Right And Mackinac Island (not visible) is off on the far right just out of view.

The 60 degree Weather Was Perfect. Partly Cloudy With The Sun Breaking In Lighting Up The Towers As I Approached Them.

Even Though I've Made This Trip Over 50 Times In My Lifetime It Is Always An Exhilarating Experience.

I Get The Sensation I've Crossed Into A Different Land When You Reach The Northern Shore.

Filmed in 720p at 60 fps and edited with "Power Director 8" to add The "Dancing Flames" music Track By Mannheim Steamroller (from Fresh Aire 4) the music blends perfectly with the images.

If You Enjoyed This Please Tell Your Friends & Family to make this seven minute journey from Michigan's Lower Peninsula to "da UP"

  • Well done and thanx for the ride.

  • @ohioan4ever - Thank you for your comment. When wife & I were up there last Oct.for a fall color weekend I thought I'd try out my new Kodak Playsport and sat it on the dash on a beautiful Saturday morning as we crossed headed to the St. Ignace casino. So many bad clips are posted here on Y-T (wind noise, shakey & maybe a radio playing in the background I felt I could do a better one. Added some Mannheim to the clip by searching for a track close to the length of the unedited video.

  • I made a similar video of Provo Canyon, but mine was a time lapse.

  • I really enjoyed the video. Excellent choice of music and and that's an amazing bridge. If you have any more videos like this one I would love to see them!

  • Heh, that's Big Mac all right. Been there done that, but never with a soundtrack before! This is pretty cool. Quite a stiff breeze in the straits too that day, if those whipping flags are any indication. Neat! Thanks!
