The 4 bore, in all its might, still fails to compare to the .600 overkill in terms of recoil. Trust me on this one folks, I've done the math, and got the slight concussion to prove it! haha. Awesome rifle though!

haha, oh man, the man that owns the rifle actually took off the break despite the collective discouragement from onlookers, and i thought he would need to be hospitalized afterwards! It was the most violent thing i've ever seen! That 8 pounder must be downright unpleasant! I am no glutton for pain haha.

OK, I'm sort of lost here a little bit. I don't mean this in an accusitory manner or anything, but, isn't a "4 bore" a black powder weapon that shoots a quarter pound ball? That instrument of pain looked like a big bore mauser. What up?

I have 3 of these and the lightest one is 8pds even!So,I know all about recoil!Also a 700 that weighs 11 pds...Try shooting your 600 w/o the brake like my 8pounder....My 4 Bore is so heavy,it shoves hard,but doesnt really hurt....Like the Pumpkin Pies!
