  • Hahaha "Ohw Jong" .

Enige problemen met slijtage sinds het chippen of loopt de 118d nog perfect?

  • deze is intussen perte totale.

mijn eigen 118d is ook gechipped, nog steeds geen problemen.

  • which tuner chipped the 1-series?

  • a local tuning company, CTH

  • The high torque figures for diesels is a smoke screen (a dirty diesel one). When you factor in the turbo lag and the tiny weeny power band (because of the low revving), in the end it is much slower than the equivalent petrol. And at the end of the day, if you race a diesel on a track against the equivalent petrol, the petrol will outhandle the diesel because of the heavy lump the diesel has in the front and the infelexibility of using power through corners without gear changes. ;)

  • these aren't racing cars, just cars for daily use. If I could I would have bought a M3 and take my bike to go to work everyday :-) I get your point but this vid is just to show that you're easily able to get some better performance from the pre-facelift 118d.

  • what's so pathetic about racing diesels? BMW makes one of the best diesels in the world, just look into 335d (probably quicker in real life than 335i). Or what about all that LeMans winning Audi diesel cars? You are living in 1990s it seems and your idea of diesel must be a noisy clickityclack Mercedes W123 taxi car or Ford Transit minivan. the torque you get from diesel is hard to match. Only sound is lacking.

  • ive had both 118d and a 318 i and i prefer 118d for motorway driving but on the streets the petrol wins hands down lol although the diesel is quicker

  • @TedTempest absolutely right

  • @TedTempest lm inlove with your comment!

  • @TedTempest You were so tight until you said that the 335d would be quicker than the 335i...

  • @infernogialloblu

Just drive a 120d or 320d and after that talk about it. I can tell that you didn`t.

The power band is WIDER in turbo than in an aspirated and it`s not afected by the low rev, quite the contrary: high reving cars have narrow band power.

  • @qwerty123456789jhdtg 6th gear is usually just a cruising gear, the 335d would prob do 140mph+ in 5th.

  • btw, een heel pak van de garantie van bmw vervalt nadat je je auto gechipt hebt.

hoe snel trekt ie op tot 100 na het chippen?

  • @infernogialloblu UR clearly wrong, why do alot of touring cars, SEAT's etc have turbo diesels then? if they are inferior to the equivilent petrol....

  • let the 320d get chip and than it will be funny :-) :-) :-)

  • 2.2 toyota desiel is aliuminium,, so are all 1995cc BMW desiels....
