Sunny Garcia is the first professional surfer ever to use a GoPro during a major surf competition! Sunset beach was pounded with 10-12 feet waves in the biggest swell of the season while GoPro Athlete and local surfer Sunny captured a Vans Triple Crown heat with an on-board HERO2. Sunny, you rock!

sunny was great in the booth during this event. He said "I don't go looking for trouble. If it does come my way, I won't run from it" I love it. He also said he would like to see one of the younger guys get an invite to pipe. Great man
