@2:03 -- actually you can. You don't even have to make outlines. In the appearance palette you can hit the add new fill button. You then have a fill and stroke layer for your text. Restack them with the stroke below. You can duplicate that stroke layer and change the color and size. It is the same result with one shape, and without having to screw around with the offset path dialogue box.
CAN YOU HELP ME WITH A PROBLEM WITH PATHFINDER.? WHE I TRY CREATE A GLOSSY EFFECT AND GO TO CUT A TXT THAT I OUTLINE ALREDY..I END UP WITH ONLY THE FIRST LETTER AND NO THE ENTIRE TXT. HOW CAN I FIX THIS AND GET THE FULL TEX AFTER CUTTING?????
Yeah, hold down the ALT button when you click on the pathfinder tool... you have to do this in CS4 and CS5... and I think some earlier versions prior to CS as well. I need to add some comments to the video to make that clear for everyone

Aw, man. I'm using the Pathfinder tool, but all it does is group the letters without giving me the option to expand. Any help?
