MIlitary Train rolls through Morgan Hill

Military equipment train loaded with tanks and other vehicles of war rolls through Morgan Hill, Calif. on Jan. 19, 2012. The train originated in Oxnard and is headed to the Sierra Army Depot in Herlong. This train ran as the UP 7623 SOXHR-17 via the Coast Line.

I just realized the description gave everything we were wondering: Sierra Army Depot in Herlong. I looked it up, and it is a major storage facility for the military.

Yeah that seems plausible.

Hard to say exactly, but this same train's been through portions of Southern California. There are a few bases down there. With recent base closures in mind, they've either been reassigned or are being moved into storage.

Well yeah, but I still doubt they were going to Iraq as the U.S. have ceased that kind of activity in Iraq. This was filmed in Jan 2012. And it's even less likely that they will be deployed in Afghanistan because of the difficult mountainous terrain. Where do you think they're going? I found a video of this exact train in Mexico.

I've seen tanks being off-loaded in Iraq with woodland camo.  They usually paint them at their destination.

The train is probably headed for one of the marine bases like 29 Palms or being ship over seas these are light tanks could be going to Mexico but just the guy who speaks Spanish well Spanish in California its normal.
