Was the Philco Duo-Matic both a washer and a dryer in one? If so, that is one front loader I would have bought back then. I had heard that Philco made a front loader years ago, I only had seen the Westinghouse version. Nice post.

That must be when the very first white plastic Clorox bottle came out(sometime in the second half of 1960) because the brown glass Clorox jug was last made all the way up through the first half of that year, in 1960, in which the phase out had occurred sometime during that summer.
