Understanding the Human Brain was the subject of an editorial in Science, 4 November 2011, written by Terry Sejnowski and Sydney Brenner. It is also a fundamental goal of the Society for Neuroscience, which meets in Washington DC 12-17 November 2011.

Terrence Sejnowski is an HHMI investigator, the Francis Crick Professor and Director of the Crick-Jacobs Center for Theoretical and Computational Biology at the Salk Institute. He is author of several books including The Computational Brain and Liars, Lovers, and Heroes: What the New Brain Science Reveals About How We Become Who We Are.

    I would say a blessing. Understanding and truth lead to right action. The more ignorance there is, the more mistakes are made.
