I'm so looking forward to seeing this opera on Wednesday at the London Coliseum! Pushkin's excellent story and Tchaikovsky's amazing and emotive music will make for a wonderful evening.

Used this as a soundtrack while I read the original novel :)

@4stringoFury And that presents a problem for the Spanish language, which does not use the TCH combination. If the Spanish language followed the French style, it would spell CHAD and CHILE as TCHAD and TCHILE.

@balletomain A piano version is used for the Valse Printemps solo in the RAD Grade 8 award examination, maybe that's what you were thinking of? You need a lot of stamina for that dance trust me lol hope this helps!

@balletomain Well, I guess it depends on what production did the ballet; weather or not they wanted to use this song or the original score.Thats my expainaion.

No, it's definitely in some ballet too. I'm sure.

Heavens, from where did Chaikovskii get such an endless supply of tunes??? It seems that coming up with such an abundance of catchy tunes was to him as easy as breathing!!!
