@SilverSurfer102 Its all down to the agressive maps used on competition engines - basically to acheive highest performance the engine must be mapped so that when its on load and higher revs it runs well, where as at idle speed the engine does not know what to to , hence the revs drop and the ECU compensates for the rev drop by over fuelling hence a rise in revs then drop.
-
I may seem a little weird but why Is the car idling this way? Sounds like the revs are never the same and I noticed this weird idle on many rally car. Perhaps it is a device that increase engine performance ( I dont know!). Can someone tell me the answer?

@mini4life92 even back then tho ford was on top when colin mcrae drove haha
-
@mini4life92 that is very true kinda sucks to think that rally racing is a slowly dieing sport it used to be so popular rallycross might take over now
-
@TheRallycrossKing I'm pretty sure there are only 2 main companys left in wrc...makes it kinda difficult not to be one of the top???
-
@TheRallycrossKing yes do got to agree the time of the subaru and evos have been long gone...... but of course no way in hell an american ford will compete with a european ford mad props for euro ford
-
@subajon23 im pretty sure ford is 1 of the top WRC cars...
-
@r3fuge "charging the antilag".....what in the fucking hell are you talking about
-
subies and evos are the best im a subaru owner but mad respect for the evos without the evos we wouldn`t have any rivals to compete with... and the end of the day we all love AWD =)
