Thanks to everyone who watched (or who will watch) the race, commented, favorited, and rated!
The next race I will do is the "full race version" of the 1999 TranSouth Financial 400, starting on the last week of April to early May to get you ready for the Southern 500 on May 8th. Outside of the finish, I will take down the other parts of that race prior to posting up the full race.
btw, as a programming note, the pilot episode of "Jeff Gordon: The Quarterly Sheet" comes on the evening of March 20th and the first episode of "Danica Versus" comes on March 26th!

@metalupyourthrash Apparantly Sterling came in the pits to get tires and he was too fast on pit road but by the time NASCAR was able to relay the call to Lee McCall, Sterling's crew chief...Sterling had already left so a little OOPS on NASCAR's side but Sterling Marlin got the win no matter what.

@vidEvWill Could you explain? I remember the race, but not the pit call.

This race is kind of dipped in controversy over the pit call. It was an error on NASCAR's part. The Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 win was what helped him take the point lead. This was in fact Marlin's title to lose that year and probably should have won it.
