38 degree west aspect of Point Six 400' below access road. Shot on January 31, 2010. Buried surface hoar layer will be the primary concern once buried. Seconday concern on this aspect or in shallow areas is the depth hoar still with us. 6" of new heavy snow sluffing down a steep slope may be enough weight to trigger failure at the now deeply buried facets at 45cm. Total snow depth here is 130cm.
