The white men changed the islands centuries ago, by bringing diseases, corruption, and war to the islands, now they wanna piece together what their ancestors did? Some things are better left alone...
-
Cannibalism stopped? It's still going on now!
-
What they just digged-up were the grave yards of the pygmies, these creatures were as human as we are, only they were short in height, plenty of them still exist and living in nearby PNG and Indonesia. These findings proved none. NatGeo should stop claiming about hundreds of years of evolution, what a scambugs..

that made alot of sense fast evolution thats not really evolution thats possibly some genetic mutation due to lack of proper nutrients.

At least the White Man stopped Cannibalism

@intelliGENeration i agree

Always jumping to conclusions... Why don't they do more research on who these people were, instead of making a documentary and writing research papers about how humans are actually adapting faster than ever thought, without having ANY evidence that they evolved from normal humans. Who said they did? It was just an assumption, which to begin is not as plausible as some other more realistic assumptions they could have made.
Desperate scientists looking for a moment of shine!

I have very little knowledge of this kind of thing so probably overlooking something obvious to those educated. But all the way through I was thinking, could it not be a possibility that the islands were used as an almost prision like environment, maybe the group of people had been rounded up from someplace else and killed off on the islands?
Um, has the human race not domesticated animals over the past few hundred years into various animals that are completely different from their undomesticated relatives? Obviously rapid evolution can and does occur.

@dhsredhead What you're describing is selection (both natural and artificial), which in science is distinctly different from the term "evolution."
