Transitions needed for this (for XP and Vista):

http://movies.blainesville.com/

They are Translucency Transitions.

The one I end up using comes from here, though:

Under "DPL PushSlideComp Transitions for Moviemaker"

Hey, guys! I make my vocal debut on youtube in this video...oh, geez. Talk about being self-conscious. I sound awful. I blame it on my cold that's still lingering here. :)

Anyway, this is pretty much a long, drawn-out fail as far as tutorials go. XD I could have probably made it way shorter or explained it in words, but I guess it was a good experience to try out recording me explaining stuff. I'll do better next time. ;)

Basically:

1) Make your video
2) Publish your video
3) Import your video
4) Fade a texture all across your video
5) Add a Translucency, DPL Comp or Add A Comp B transition to replace the fade

The end. :P

If you have questions, ask. I'll do my best to help. :)

  • UHHH I HATE MY WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER ITS THE LAST VERSION !! its not like urs !

  • @xherecomejessix You have Windows Live Movie Maker? If you have WLMM on Windows 7, you can go to: movies . blainesville . com to find a download link for WMM Vista (my version) on your computer. :3

  • how do i keep it from fading!

  • @FantageCheats111 It's all in the transition you use. Don't use the fade transition - use Compositing (A add B) or a Translucency transition, all of which you can add from the blainesville website listed in the description or on my channel page. :3

  • Hi Liv, ok so I'm using the Comp A and B transition, but it keeps telling me that it's just a trial and that if I want to keep using it after like 12 days I have to register. Did you pay anything for it when you got it?

  • @emmactress1894 Mmm, nope. There are some aspects of the RehanShaderTFX that expire after 12 days, but some, like green and bluescreen, continue to work. I don't remember having that problem with Comp A and B, but it should still work for you after the trial period. :3

  • i don't have it on fade and i downloaded the transitions and have tried it with the A add B and a translucency one and the texture still fades in and then like covers the video, i dont get why :( thanks for the transitions though! x

  • @ThePuccaFanGirl I have links for where to get the transitions in the video description. If you faded out your video but not your picture, then you would only see the picture at the end. If you fade them both out, they will both become black. If you fade out neither, you will get a small blip of the picture by itself at the end.

  • But here's what I wanna ask...why is it then when I add the texture, then at the end of the video, the clip becomes black and the picture becomes the main focus? Like I can't see the actual clip. Plus, where'd you get the transitions you used? I don't have those types of transitions, and yet my WMM is technically like yours.
