thanks for the video is awesome, i just have one question, how you erase all your data from the hhd, thanks.

I like the SSD part, but instead of messing with the optical, I prefer my Sonnet USB 3.0 card that allows me to use my USB 3 2TB external hard drive (OS X and Windows 7) and other USB 3 items.

You sir are the man.. thank you so much for the great video tutorial and contained all the info I needed to install a SSD and keep my current HDD. Thank you!

The ribbon cable goes underneath the thicker cable.
-
why didn't you put the SSD where the disk drive used to be and not reinstall your OS?
-
Your serial is shown might want to cover it.

@Domreis7337 does the HDD lose speed (mbps) due to the connector??it is not sata?

Does ejecting one drive (2 drive system ssd&hdd) increase battery life? In other words does ejecting drive stops it spinning and using energy? So i could control the energy usage directly.
Is it the same if i do that with a Macbook Pro from 2008?

@ThierryHenryCasper You'll need the older model of the data doubler, but you can do it.

2 questions:
How did you battery time react to this?
and
Wouldn't you just be able to plug the SSD into the Doppler, and make the Mac boot from that?
muzvit 1 year ago
@muzvit I haven't noticed a difference in battery life. I heard that you had better performance plugging the SSD into the Primary drive bay.

Great video but there's something that i don't understand. Why would you need to install the Mac OS X on your SSD? Is that really necessary to have it on both your HDD and SSD?
Thanks

@ehsan83 I installed OS X on the SSD because the speed of the SSD is extremely after than the HDD. You want your OS and Applications on the fastest drive. I then formatted the HDD and use that to store music, photos, video, ect.
