Reckon the bigger one is 13-15lb in weight, we'll be freezing some slices down, let me know if you are down this way and lunch will be on me ok.

I was afraid that giving them names might have made it a little harder to top them. I bet they will be delicious.

I reckon so. I was happy that I watched them being dispatched, I didn't plan to but then suddenly there was nowhere to go and it was over. I'm sure they never knew a thing about it. They were reared to be eaten, its not like when the fox attacked once & killed a duck and maimed 5, I had to have the vet in to put the rest down, so sad. This wasn't sad at all, it was the final chapter of their free range story.

alls fair in love and at Christmas !
I'm glad that you gave them a happy life and respected them while they were here. Now, they can return the favor by feeding your family.
Merry Christmas!

We sold one and ate the other one, very tasty, you can tell the difference being free range. They were the best fed turkeys in Co. Cork I reckon lol

I wish my neighbors would go ahead and do that to their turkey, but they've decided to keep him as a 'pet'. The damn thing is evil! Really, it is aggressive toward everything; it is always chasing one of us, and attacked my poor dog (they let it run loose, so it's always on our property)!

You should tell them to keep it off your property. Poor dog! I must admit these 2 gave our puppy a peck on the nose once or twice.
