Not sure of the year, but most of these seem to come from a break in the middle of a programme called 'Cinema'. It would be possible to identify the ITV station by it's break bumper, if I knew who used it :)

  • The beginning of this video is my mum from 1965, i would love to find the original full version of the Daz advert i have searched high & low for it but to no avail, i have tried to send you a message but you only accept from friends, it would be wonderful if you have the full version, please feel free to email me back and let me know, until then many thanks for posting this snippet, your a star.

  • @bllueman I'm sorry, this is all that is on the tape, and it's probably all that is on the original tapes. I don't own the original tapes this comes from, they are all held by the NFT / BFI I believe. This VHS transfer of the tapes was done by somebody there, or so I've heard. You should be able to message me now as I've added you as a friend :)

  • The last three ads at least are I think most likely to be from Wednesday 3rd May 1967 ... the break bumper is that of ATV, and as 'Cinema' was shown during the week they must be from ATV Midlands rather than London (indeed all these recordings were made in the Midlands).

  • Thanks Robin. I thought Dave Jeffery had a recreation of the break bumper online, but I can only find the Harlech one and another one (can't remember which station, they are both on AW's 625 though)

  • I'm not sure, but that break bumper looks like the Grampian logo to me.

  • Anyone got the 60's Kennomeat ad? 2 dogs and their man-servant.

  • I think that the break bumper is from Scottish Television from wednesday 3rd May 1967, just look very closely at the break bumper, I think it is the Scottish Television logo!

  • Enjoyed that. Thanks.
