Luckily Verizon Wireless is nice enough to keep replacing the defective phones. My friends who have some of the other providers are told to mail them back to the manufacturer and wait for a replacement - no phone at all while they wait.

yes they keep replacing your defective phones with MORE defective phones... that really doesnt get you anything

alright. verizon doesnt make the phones. that one is made by lg which makes a shit product. i've only owned lg and everyone gave me hell. im finally on motorola (droid x) and it's like night and day. if verizon "didn't work for you" you would have one broken one. not 5. they worked. blame lg.

I had the same problems with the VX5200 which is the model you are having problems with. My first phone froze up all the time. My second phones screen had randomly scattered colorful pixels. The third phone reset itself whenever it felt like it. My last phone would shut off and on like the one before. Complain...they will give you a better model.
I now have an LG white chocolate and all I can say is it works, but I am not into the phone.
