So having a window facing north is considered attracting dark energies into the house. Sounds stupid, but I've lived in a house facing north and the sounds you heard there... and the energy... damn, I don't believe in any of this stuff but I think they've got something there. And in Japan, all banks and important buildings are facing away form the big N. ^_^

Keep in mind that Katrina is actually 14 in the original version. It was changed in the english version to 18 because of all the flirting and a particular scene later on.
