I walk around Rievaulx Abbey in North York Moors National Park a Cistercian abbey dating back 900 years.
The abbey is extremely open, allowing you to explore it's many parts and get an idea of what life was like back then. The abbey was disolved by King Henry VIII and partially dismantled, but many of the walls and arches are in great shape.
