I was on this event as a german wehrmacht soldier. Still at all the forest is really hard to fight in, we got still problem on this forest only when we start re-enacting it

I know this forest. Still not all part are open for poblic. Everywhere collapsed trenches full of old ammunition, rusty helmets, blind shells etc etc. A lot of guys with metal detector are in this wood .. and some of them .. well .. not all leave the wood on their feet

Great video guys! Great initiative.
I live near the Hürtgen and have visited the forest many many times. I still amazes me how beautiful it looks but also how scaring and cold it can be. Lets not forget the soldiers who have fallen in those dark cold months in 1944 and 1945.
