  • I dont think comparing stills really helps separate these cameras. I can possible understand the 7d and d90, but why is the dvx thrown in there? Stills do not show the camera performance.

  • @kisauer

Still Scene. This is quick video from all three cameras.

  • Thanks for the vid. Does the 5d export .avi? Also, I though the 5d shot 1920X1080 full HD. The vids I'm seeing demonstrate that the 5d is far superior in sharpness than the 7d but the 7d has a better video framerate range.

I have been using my DVX100 (which you show to be a very ample camera thank you!!

  • @chaucer44

Thanks. The files form the 5D and 7D are both h.264 in the .mov format. The image from the 7D and 5D are identical except for extreme lowlight and depth of field

  • DVX looks better than either of the other two in this vid.

  • @kazyBarbarian That's why I'm trying to understand how he says the dvx100 doesn't have as good of resolution. Isn't resolution the amount of detail that a picture is able to render? I don't know if this guy knows what he is talking about. Coloramatry is not a word.

  • The d90 isnt 24 but 23 something

  • the Dvx100 actually showed the lines on the sticky notes and the black background better than the 7D and the D90 didnt show it at all. i think the 7D's color is alittle too saturated but then again it might just be my personal preface.

  • @IronicusPaladin Also the New Harry Porter Film heaps of the scenes were shot with Canon 5d Mark II also. Pretty crazy. They like the soft look that slr's bring out. 7Ds are awesome cameras for videoing....you're lucky u got one as a present lol

  • @soneeqboom I never knew that, I just got one as a present, still getting used to its features heh.

  • @brianjcavanaugh funny you say that since most things including weddings and shows are now shot with DSLR Cameras.....the TV Series "House" one of the episodes was shot with the Canon 5d Mark II. Heaps of big named artist video clips are also shot with DSLR Cameras including Nikon d90 and Canon 7d

  • @juan69ing It actually looks similar to a portwine stain -- a permanent skin discoloration from deep dilated capillaries in the skin. Still looks badass, and certainly goes with the name of the channel.

  • 7D's a fantastic camera, DOF is great.

DVX's colours can look so vibrant and really make wherever your shooting look great but in low light can get very grainy.

I use the DVX but would like to use the 7D aswell.
