The Paris Opera House is having an auction. One of the items of interest is a chandelier. A chandelier that is the gateway to another time, another era...the age when the Phantom rules the opera house.

For the 2006 Brickfest, Brickfilms.com and Brickfest were working together to create a montage of clips recreating iconic scenes from films in LEGO. I volunteered to do a clip, and decided upon one of my favorite films, The Phantom Of The Opera. Ironically, this 59-second clip took longer to make than any other film, including Beast. This was mostly in part that though I did most of the filming in April, I set the project aside for three months before spending half a day tying up loose ends and uploading it. By the time it was released, Beast and pwnd were already done, and my animation skills had already moved on. But I'm glad to get it out of the way.

  • Do you have any more of these videos? finall a video with Legos and Phantom of the Opera.

  • At this moment, no. I have considered recreating other famous musical numbers from the movie (such as The Phantom of the Opera, The Music of the Night, Masquerade, and the Chandelier Crash) but I haven't have time and other commitments have kept me occupied. If there's enough interest I'll consider making some more animations.
