THE ROCK SHOW was a concert put on by students from the University of Michigan's musical theater department to celebrate new, developing, and unsung rock musicals in a genuine, late night, rock show.
Directed by Andy Mientus
The Rock Show Band:
Lead Guitar: James L'Esperance
Keyboard: Clark Baxtresser
Bass: Carlos Valdes (MT student, '11)
Drums: Ross Baronowski
Sound Design: Drew Leahy
Ehhh... good singer I guess, but this was sort of a mess. I don't think guitars are appropriate for the sound and feel of the song.
She's didnt put much feeling into the words either. Each phrase and each word was written with a meaning and emotion behind it. In the show, "Caution to the Wind" is a sad, tender, yet begrudgingly uplifting moment. This singer just sang it like a rock song without trying to appeal emotionally to the audience.
I guess I just didn't feel the performance.

She's good, but honestly no one can be as good as Valerie.
