Poor Josie.

I just can't even watch this video anymore, it makes me cringe just to think about it, makes me sick to my stomach to see it, and gives me nightmares afterwards :(

She's a trooper, and thankfully she's in superb shape, so she bounced back just fine from all this. Massages from me plus one from Sarah Dow, and she's good as new :o)

ETA: Thank you all for your concern about Josie. I just wanted to make sure to point out that she is absolutely fine now. She ran in a show the weekend after this accident and had a lot of success, a very high Q-rate (100% one day) at 26", and was up for hiking during and after each day of the show. So, I'd say she's well on the way to putting this behind her. We have a couple weeks off of competing, and will see you all in McKinney mid-April!

Sorry I did not show any of us hugging and making up at the end, but quite honestly, I just couldn't have been done making the video fast enough. It was VERY hard for me to do.

As evidenced by her birthday video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OXtape4PMA , Josie is very special to me. I cannot express how hard it was to watch/make this video. I posted it because I thought it was something that people needed to see, not because it's something I want to relive time and again -- I can assure you I don't!!

Thank you again, and let this be the last time something like this happens. !!

  • that is so sad i almost cryed but i was so happy to see that you didn't freak out that you stayed calm and it looks like you kept going ;) so glad you hear your dogs ok

  • Yes, thankfully, no lasting ill effects. Poor girlie!!

  • Wow, ow. Why do your dogs want to hurt themselves? Aren't they getting enough attention at home? ;)

  • Typically they don't, I don't know what's gotten into them lately!

  • Oh my goodness! She is a tough little girl. Glad to hear she is okay. I wonder if the tape being so different on the bottom (and not on the top) played into her misjudging it. She is so experienced at jumping there had to be something. Glad she is okay :)

  • Thanks, yes, I'm not sure what it was, but it was definitely something. She's never crashed the tire before, and this was one helluva way to start... :-/

Thankfully she bounced right back and is no worse for the wear!
