Why soccer sucks in USA?

The Sox aren't the only local team that recently kicked off their season. The MLS is back, and the local 11, The New England Revolution, are looking to make it to the MLS finals for an unprecendeted fifth time in seven years, and fourth in a row.

Always a bridesmaid and never a bride, the Revs hope to finally hoist the Rothenberg trophy and join the annals of Boston's storied sport's history.

Despite their success, the Revs have failed to find a soft spot in the heart of the region's millions of soccer-crazed latinos. Is it lack of marketing? Lack of latino starpower? Or are the Revs a few steps behind their competitors when it comes to developing and signing latino players?

Will the MLS ever win the respect of leagues and fans worldwide? And will it ever be the popular, fruitful, cradle of talent money making machine that The English Premiere League, Spain's La Liga, and Germany's Bundesliga are today?
