It says San Salvador, Central America...so, my wild guess is that they're referring to El Salvador.

The finest line-up Santana ever had. The New Santana Band really made great music! The line-up that would make "Borboletta" back in 1974 also wass fantastic. But here Mickael Schrieve was the real inspiror, Carlos was sublime, the percussion duo of Armando and José backed by the stunning bass of Dough... One of the finest Live LPs I own... What a sleeve and what an interior!!!!!!

Musica para la gente, de todo el mundo !

Hey man, was he in San Salvador, El Salvador, or San Salvador the island? Though perhaps from the video it's obvious. Carlos always had different renditions of Samba Pa Ti, and it's readily apparent the group just loved improvising away from SFO to Narita to Cairo to Kenya to wherever the waves of touring took them.

always been my fav version
It's rather lamentable to note that of this line up of musicians, the black brother with marracas and lead vocalist Leon Thomas has passed, the magnificent bassist Doug Rauch passed from a drug overdose within months of this concert, Richard Kermode who always played that ear candy electric piano with his long hair, whether from Malo's Sauvecito to countless other tunes, also passed. But man, the music they created continues to live on, what a blessed legacy they've left humanity.
