Waylons version of a classic Joe South song, i have both versions , can't choose between 'em, on one hand you have the smooth chocolate voice of Waylon and on the other, rough and ready Joe, it's tough you have to make your own mind up.;....'t ain't easy

  • Waylon and Tesla Are both good, but I think The Georgia Satellite is better.

  • I love Waylon...but,check out TESLA doing this

  • This is nice. Very nice. The fact I've heard the Great Joe South sing this his way about a trillion times before hearing this today really weighs his version in my favor. Nonetheless, Waylon really nails this.

  • ONE GREAT SINGER!!!!!

  • I'm partial as I'm a huge Waylon fan and even plan to name my firstborn Waylon, no matter what gender it turns out to be, but I must say this is the best version I have heard.

Mr Jennings, rest in peace, I wish I had a chance to see you live while you were with us. God bless!

  • Great version!

  • @83JD4850 I agree with ya.....Joe South's rendition not even him singing it but the music is sadder unlike waylon's which is more like get up and dance saying people play so might as well go on and be happy, where joe south is like its sad to see people playin the games. I like how you compare it you were always on my mind....cuz myself being an Elvis fan, Elvis's version doesnt even match Willie Nelson.

  • Check out the King Curtis and Duane Allman instrumental version!
