Omega is an angsty rebel while Gamma was a true hero. As much as I like Angsty Rebels Gamma made the ultimate sacrifice for the trapped flicks so he's more likeable. I liked the continuity in SA2 with the Gamma-look alikes in the pyramid levels.

@Artencot No.... Omega hates eggman because he abandoned him.

@MistaOppritunity then eggman rebuilt the body as omega with some of gamma's memories still intact, which is why he hates eggman

@SmashBroGameAndWatch well, no. the reason he, "died", was because he was trying to return the little bird to his family the whole storyline. When he looked into the wreckage in his robot shell, he saw the bird family. He then realized they were keeping him alive so he made the ultimate sacrifice and let them go. And i'm fairly sure he exploded after he set them free...? I'm not sure i havent seen it in a while. he also had an onboard repair unit so he could have lived.
