This has nothing to do with winning. This is all about our tribe and many others coming together to celebrate our heritage. This dancing comes from the heart.

I can understand "dancer's ego"--it makes competitions a lot more fun, but all the hate in the comments is unwarranted.Why is it that so many think that ALL NAI dancers have to look alike, make ALL the same moves, etc?There are diff. dances, moves, regalia from ALL Nations--we are NOT all the same(geesh & ppl scream 'bout assimilation? seems to me that some here want it more than the govt. does!)

What is your problem? This is a very small eastern tribe. These were local dancers. They were having a pow-wow and enjoying the day dancing. Sorry that you "big tribes" don't like us small easterns dances. And the comment about the white man ... these fellows were all Virginia tribal dancers. Some of these guys even got to go to England and dance for the Jamestown celebrations. If you can dance better that is fine. They were just honoring their traditions!
