  • @650BombardierDS sounded more like a take off with the traction control on

  • @Jutzujin Try the 160 or 180 thermo. My 160 runs cool all day long, as before it would climb so high you thought it was going to smoke ribs, not to mention the performance was shot to Hell.

  • IMAO, this version is way cooler than the present Corvette...

  • American mentality- make something go fast, and dont put anything into steering. YUP AMERICA NUMBER 1

  • Heads up to the one "poster", running AC makes your car run hot. Running the heat pulls some of the dynamic heat off of the block and keeps it "cooler". I'm an old school street racer with a small budget which forces you to learn certain tricks.

  • Also, for all the haters that think you can just put this thing on a lift and shit the transmission out the back in 20 minutes without having any prior knowledge about Corvettes, you can dream on. It takes hours, and you might as well put some C6 bushings to lower the rear and C6Z half-shafts, cause those are going to be the next things to break when you start making power.

  • Temps was the only thing that pissed me off when I transitioned from a Camaro SS to a C5 Z06. The Vette get's so fucking hot when you let it sit still, it's within operating parameters but still, my Camaro never moved from 180. Whether I was on the highway or in traffic for four hours, that was with the stock LS1 radiator and a L92 402" in the car.

  • The stock clutch slips when hot, C5Z's are very VERY underrated in terms of power.. I suggest upgrading to the C6 Z06 clutch, after that the problem for my 15k mile car was fixed.. Then again this only happened when the car was hot, also get a 160 degree thermostat and if you let the car sit still, turn on the air conditioning, it keeps the car cooler.

  • he could be dragging the clutch to prevent wheel spin on shifts, I know my z06 will spin pretty much every time I bang a gear hard. Its also possible his clutch is just worn out and this is unintentional slippage.. it does seem to drag a bit long for a power shift.

Love the sound of this exhaust!
