The law from 1928 was to relax the earlier law, and included some restrictions to keep the US with allies happy. It was a re-armament, not a disarmament.

1938 the law was relaxed even more. Now every german citizen over 18 could buy a rifle without a permit. Handgun owner still required a permit, but had to renew it less frequently as before.

@kronosgyros Well remember that the jewish world organisations declared war on Germany already in 1933. Did the United States allow japanese US citizens to own weapons during WWII? No, they were disarmed and put in concentration camps.

The US still wants to disarm whole countries they don't like.

No, Hitler came to power in 1933. First in 1938 the national socialist government changed the old gun laws from 1928, and relaxed them for german citizens. Anyone over 18 could then buy rifles without a permit. Handgun owners had to have a permit, as before, but didn't have to renew it as often (every 3 years instead of 1).

Remember that the United States and allies after WWI forbade ALL germans from buying and owning guns. Hipocracy, anyone?

There are some idiots online who state that gun control didn't allow for the NAZIs to gain and control power. Gun control in 1928 disarmed anyone who could have stopped the NAZIs, you have to remember that criminals don't listent to laws and so the NAZIs did not listen to those laws and they got their hands on weapons. Gun control in 1938 allowed NAZIs to remove from any opposition the ability to put up a fight or resistance.

So now let's talk about who the government thinks is acceptable. in HR45 they want to be able to remove your right to own a gun if you are not psychologically acceptable. So are the 'racists' who oppose socialism not acceptable?  Is anyone who wants to defend their rights against the government now crazy?

The Germans USED GUN CONTROL, do you understand that. HR45 isn't designed to take guns away from everyone, just to put them in the hands of what the government considers to be acceptable. The germans did this also. So HR45 is similar to NAZI gun control. period. you can't spin around it.
