Like running lava, I flow heat, with no beat
Say more than most emcees even when I dont speak
With every verse, I repeatedly prove
That my lyrics show depth, but still people refuse
To listen, and now Im really getting the impression its
Easier to accept bullshit, than to question it
To the mind that is delicate, fragile and desolate
Falsehoods and Fabricated truths can be pestilent
This shifted intelligence, inflicted a prejudice
That most will brush off like this isnt of relevance
Malnourished minds, they resist to replenish it
I sit back and look at this shit with irreverence
So I pen these writtens for those whove been misinformed
But when you have real shit to say you seem to get ignored
A consequence of making underground hits
Many times, Ive heard you need to dumb it down lypse
Youre leaving some confounded, we cant follow your thoughts
We wanna hear about your ice, cash and bottles you pop
Naw, see while hip hops elite is unsigned
These other dudes hide behind beats and punchlines
Cause Real hip hop is what the systems discourage
The industrys at fault, but that just sits on the surface
Cause what about the people who listen and purchase
To this music on the radio thats missing a purpose
Im not saying commercial rap is garbage and trash
But artists such as myself pour our hearts on the pad
Industrys full of gimmicks, I aint part of the fads
I had charisma way before it was regarded as swag
You feel me? Look, Im a lyricist with
Academic prowess and a literate gift
I captivate minds with these diligent scripts
And bring hip hop and art into an intimate mix
Ye its verbal art, but the paintin is hard
Theres only so much you can say when constrained to a bar
So many ways I can say it using patterns of words
And put it in a way so my voice is actually heard
Thats why I rather concentrate on things that we often take
For granted, and give the listeners something to contemplate
Cause some will try to obfuscate, the truth and if youre not awake
Society will crumble, and right now we must consolidate
Its only knowledge that I try to reflect
I spit the kind of truth that your mind can digest
Dont get caught in the nonsense
Think for yourself, exercise your cognitive process
