Reflected memory is an interactive installation that creates a real infinite mirror reflection using a camera a mirror and a video projection screen that records actions into each reflected layer of the mirror's infinite reflection. Depicted here is a functional prototype that was then installed in the Dallas Museum of Art as a full installation. The triggers here are timed with keypresses, however, the triggers in the installation were timed with two ping (ultrasonic) sensors for triggered input to start and stop the recording and storing of each video layer. When the next visitor entered the room the recording would begin and end when they left the room which would likewise be stored on a server using flash and displayed in the next furthest mirror-reflected layer of the projection.
