It is easy to get lost in defining what Hinduism is or is not, forgetting that religion is a way of life that needs to be lived everyday. Dr. Jain, an assistant professor of Hinduism at the University of North Texas, argues that Hinduism should not just be subjected to "defining", rather it needs to be lived because the living of Hinduism is what defines people as Hindus! According to Dr. Jain, to live a Hindu life we need to experience divinity in everyone and everything, live a Dharmic life, and respect the multiplicity of One Truth. Just as Jews, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Christians, and Muslims were embraced by Hindus in their thousands of years of history, Dr Jain explains that by living a Hindu life we can achieve the age old Hindu ideal of creating a global family: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
