The French Press, or press pot, is not only one of the best ways to make gourmet coffee, but also one of the least expensive. You simply add the ground coffee and hot water, then leave it for three minutes before pushing down the filter plunger. A perfect cup of coffee every time.
Awesome! My mother-in-law just got me one of these and I can't wait to try it out tonight!

I love my french press.I love that I don't have to waste money on paper filters anymore!! I,too, have the Paul Revere kettle.I think I've had mine for about 15 years and I still love it.

Dude!! Less chat...more coffee!!! Seriously, how long does it take to explain how to use a coffee press. It was clearly a 1 minute process that you have painfully drawn out into 7!

Is the brew from this device better than a cheap drip coffee maker?

I bought one for $4 at Ross the other day. It makes 8oz at a time, which is perfect for me. It does have the plastic sleeve around the glass to keep it from breaking and I use a plastic spoon to stir the coffee so as not to break the glass beaker. It's better than a Keurig single cup machine!
