A TRIBUTE TO MISORA HIBARI (SAKURA NO UTA) さくらの唄

This is a very small tribute to a great woman. I want to share it with all those wonderful people who upload Hibari's videos, with all Hibari's lovers and with all my You Tube friends whose kind works are always encouraging.

The drawings are replicas of Hibari's drawings. She did the most of them when she was in hospital. Hibari did the drawing of the sakuras feeling sad of not having the chance of seeing the sakuras of her own garden. Katou Kazuya, her son/nephew sold it this year.
The last drawing, the one of the smiling magician, though it is very simple, has a very deep meaning. Hibari was aware that she needed of a miracle to be saved, but at moments she lost faith, perhaps she began to believe in magic then. The magician is peering out from what it looks much like a 朝顔 (a morning face) but in the hat of the smiling magician we can see the night with its stars. It was told that Hibari had at least 7 different voices. The musical signs around the smiling magician are seven. The stalk of the flower is a curl without beginning but with an end in yet another curl. This was Hibaris last drawing. This is the way Hibari showed to us her beautiful smile at the end though she was suffering from great pain. I just want to say with this video: "Thank you very much, dear Hibari!!"ひばりちゃん、どうもありがとう!!

(I want to thank in an especial way to my friend Tommy Tournier who made for me the arrangement for guitar of this beautiful song).
NOTE- The black letters at the right side of the drawing of the Smiling Magician, mean that this is a replica made by me.
