I was a skinny 17 year old and along with a bunch of mates we all headed for the Stadium. The national boxing Stadium to be exact. It was the only venue for any sort of rock happening at the time.We had been playing Led Zeppelin on our record players for the previous two years and this was one concert we were not going to miss. I had bunked off school to get my ticket and at 2 pounds and 50 pence each they were well worth it.We had to buy a ticket for a Mark Bolan concert to get a Led Zep ticket. What a gip. When Peter Grant and co hear about this they threaten to pull out and we got our money back .No offense to Mark Bolan but at the time he was considered teeney bopper material. The stadium was packed and at about 8.30 the boys filled on to the stage. With no great build they launched into their set.We tried to get to our feet when things got hot but the bouncers kept pushing us back down. After about an hour or so they gave up and we stayed on our feet for the rest of the show. The show was notable as it featured songs from the forth album and was only the second time that they played Stairway to Heaven live.Near to 11 o'clock Robert Plant said it was time to catch the last bus home.Needless to said this advice was ignored and the lads played a vintage rock and roll set till 11.30.I have never forgotten that night and remained a life long fan.Hats off to the reunion.

Ah! If a song could unite a nation, this has to be it.
Great, great performance.
