This is my Halloween display. I am using my garage door opening to project the Hallowindow videos from Mark Gervais (www.hallowindow.com) onto an 88" screen. The screen is made from a queen sized bed sheet stretched over 2'x4's. I am using an Optoma Pro150 projector.

I also have a 20" CRT television in my front window that is playing a video loop of a moving green eye. (also from hallowindow.com)

  • Can i ask you why you bought such an expensive projector? Does it need an expensive one in order to work?

  • @2Ryled The projector wasnt that expensive. It was about $500. I did have a really junky projector at first, and found that it wasnt bright enough. This projector works out nicely for this task.

  • Is that some creapy bug or is that sound deliberatly coming from your halloween set up? That adds to the whole eerieness of the effect. Great job love it!

  • @2Ryled it is just some creepy sounding critter in the background. :)

  • OMG! HAHA! SOOOOOOOO COOL!!!!!!

  • great idea to use the garage!

  • Ive never priced proj until now. The cheapest ones are 500. I thought they would be cheaper bc even laptops have come way down in price. Still love your house! great job!!!!

  • @2Ryled Its all about lumnens of light... Brighter=Better/Bigger... You need at LEAST 2000 LUMENS to fill a garage opening. For a window you might be able to get away with 1500 LUMENS as long as your street is pitch black.

Do a google search for "Scene Setter Army of Skeletons"

That is what I used, I found it at my local Halloween store. I took 2x4s and built a frame, then stretched it over and stapled it. The skeletons come in two 4' high rolls that you need to tape together. I backlit them with some white christmas lights.
